ADDING SMART+ WIFI CEILING FANS

a) Auto scan mode

A new SMART+ WiFi ceiling fan is in fast-flashing mode (previously known as ez mode and hereafter referred as fast-flashing mode) when you switch it on, flashing around twice per second. To connect it, tap “+” button on the particular home screen page where you want to add the device, and then select “add device”. Now press the button “start automatic search” shown on the screen. The next screen will show the devices that are available in the network. You can select and add the devices shown individually by tapping the “add” button. Alternatively, for complete integration, you can also select the “add all” button shown at the top of the list. In the next screen, select the WiFi router with 2.4 GHz network and enter the corresponding password with which you want to connect your devices. If you have multiple wi-fi routers at your home, then you can select the WiFi from “change WiFi network” as well. After a device is added successfully, then a message will be displayed that “the device is successfully added”.

b) Manual adding mode
If you cannot find the desired device with above mentioned steps, then you can also add the device manually with “add manually” button mentioned at the bottom of the screen.
To do this, set the ceiling fan to fast-flashing mode if it has not already been set and disconnect the ceiling fan from the power supply. Now select the device category tab “WiFi devices”. Then select the category “others”. In the next screen, select the wi-fi router with 2.4 GHz network and enter the corresponding password with which you want to connect your devices. If you have multiple wi-fi routers at your home, then you can select the wi-fi from “change WiFi network” as well. Now power on the device. Select the option of fast flashing, if the device is flashing around twice per second, if not then select slow flashing for a flashing around once per two seconds. For fast-flashing mode, in the next step, a search will be carried out for the nearby devices. After the device is found, then it will be registered on the cloud, and it will be initialized. After a device is added successfully, then a message will be displayed that “the device is successfully added”. If connection isn’t possible in fast-flashing mode, you can try establishing a connection in slow-flashing mode (previously known as ap mode and hereafter referred as slow-flashing mode). For slow flashing, you need to connect with the device hotspot. You are now requested to connect the smartphone to the hotspot (LDV smart+-xxxx) provided by the ceiling fan. After tapping on "connect with hotspot", the wlan of the smartphone must be connected to the hotspot (LDV smart+-xxxx) of the ceiling fan via the wlan settings of the smartphone, you need to confirm with the “yes” button that the connection was successful. In the next step, a search will be carried out for that device. After the device is added successfully, then a message will be displayed that “the device is successfully added”.

The ceiling fans can be switched from fast-flashing mode to slow-flashing or vice-versa by turning it on and off for five times. In the app as well, the “pairing mode” can be switched accordingly by tapping the “change adding mode” button.

The remote controls included with the LEDVANCE SMART+ WiFi ceiling fans are not WiFi remote controls, but infrared remote controls. They can only be used with the corresponding ceiling fan. For the UVC fan, the remote is usable even before the fan is integrated into the LEDVANCE SMART+ app. For the other ceiling fans, the remote control can only be used once the fan is integrated into the LEDVANCE SMART+ app.
