The Machinefactory of Klinkers in Maastricht has a long reputation on producing high quality products. With the change to TRUSYS FLEX trunking system they also upgraded their lighting to this standard.

the CHALLENGE

The old LPD lighting of the Machinefactory in Maastricht (NL) had to be replaced with a modern lighting solution. This ambitious step should not only enhance the lighting quality but help achieve significant savings on the energy bill. A factory has in many cases difficult conditions. Low ceiling, high machinery. Precision work where lighting plays an important role is crucial.

the SOLUTION

The lighting project, developed by LEDVANCE together with Installer Vormtech has been designed with the TRUSYS FLEX trunking system, which is perfect fit for these applications. In total > 110 meters of this system in DALI-2 were installed to upgrade the current Factory. The MCU Select DALI-2 component is used to control the Lighting Installation in an easy way.

Switching the lighting to this new solution produced remarkable results in several respects: Energy consumption was significantly reduced by more than 60 %, leading to substantial savings on the energy bill even to 90%.
