It is also possible to invite additional users in the family/home. The invitations can be sent by the below mentioned methods. These options can be found in the “home details” screen. You can enter this section by clicking on the “homes” button in main menu on the bottom. If you want to add a new user, just click on the home. On the upper right corner of the home screen, you can find the “show details” to enter to “home details” screen. For inviting a new user to your home, you should either be the owner or admin of this home.
The invited user needs to have the SMART+ app installed and their own account to be able to join your home. Of course, it is also possible to share the same user account, but in such a case no role management is possible.
a) Invite via app account
By clicking on the “invite via app account” button, you are taken to the next screen where you can enter the email address of the new user. In the tab below, you can select the country for the new user from the drop-down list. In the role menu, you need to select one of the roles. After clicking “send invitation” button, the invited user receives the invitation in their LEDVANCE SMART+ app which they can accept or decline in the “open invitation” tab on home screen.
You can additionally view all the members and their invitation status in the “home details” under the “users” tab.
b) Invite via QR-code
Another option to invite new users to your home is with a QR-code. In the “home details” you need to click on “Invite via QR-code”. At this point, a QR-code will be displayed. The new user needs to scan this QR-code with their smartphone by clicking the "Join a shared home" option. It is important to note, that you can only invite the new user as a "Member" with the invite via QR code option.
c) Invite via code
The third option to invite new users is via a code. In the “home details” screen you need to click on “invite via code”. This will create a code and the sharing options will be opened. The invited user will be added as a member.
