LET’S GET STARTED WITH THE NEW SMART+ APP

Welcome to the LEDVANCE SMART+ app! This guide will help you register and log in to the app, recover a forgotten password, and change the firmware of your Bluetooth devices. Follow these steps to easily set up your account, configure your home, and seamlessly connect your devices to various smart home systems. For detailed instructions, please refer to the relevant sections below.

HOW TO REGISTER?

To use the LEDVANCE SMART+ app (e.g., connect and control devices) an account is required, for which registration is necessary. After starting the LEDVANCE SMART+ app for the first time, you will see the Register and Login buttons in the middle of the page that appears. To register, tap the Register button. On the register page, enter your email address in the field that reads "Email address", which will be used as the account for registration. Then type in the field labelled Password and enter a password. The password must meet certain conditions, which are listed below the password field.

  • It must contain at least 8 characters
  • It must contain at least 1 letter
  • It must contain at least 1 digit
  • It must contain at least 1 special character ([#?!@$%^&*'()*+,-./:;<=>\^_`{|}]+)

While entering the password, the respective condition is highlighted in green color as soon as it is fulfilled. After tapping the eye icon on the right side of the password field, you can make the password readable to check its correctness. After entering the password and all conditions are met, a 2nd password field labelled "Confirm password" appears in which the same password must be entered again. If the keyboard covers the 2nd password field, tap in the area under the password field to make the keypad disappear. After entering the password in the "Confirm password" field, check the box for "I accept the terms of use and privacy policy" and tap the "Get verification code" button. After that you will receive an email containing the verification code, which you have to enter on the "Verification code" page that appears. If the email does not arrive you should check your spam folder. The verification code is only valid for 30 minutes. After entering the verification code successfully, you can now start configuring your home.
Here you can provide a name for your home (maximum 32 characters). On the next page, you need to select either a pre-defined room from the list or a room name (maximum 32 characters) on your own. In the next pages, you may look at the new user experiences that have been introduced in the app. After pressing the Start button, you can now access/add the devices.

HOW TO LOGIN?

To work with the LEDVANCE SMART+ app, for example to set up or control devices, you must first log in with your account. Your account must have been registered before (see How to Register). After starting the LEDVANCE SMART+ app you will see the Register and Login buttons in the middle of the page that appears. If you don't see this page after starting the app, you are probably already logged in, because you usually stay logged in when you exit the app. Otherwise you tap on the login button. You will then be taken to the login page where you will enter the email address and password you provided during registration. Tap in the respective field to perform the input with the help of the displayed keyboard. After entering the password in the "Confirm password" field, check the box for "I accept the terms of use and privacy policy" and tap the "Login" button. If the keyboard covers the Login password field, tap in the area under the password field to make the keypad disappear. If the error message "The entered email or password is not correct" appears, then you should check the entered email address and password for correctness. After tapping the eye icon on the right side of the password field, you can make the password readable to check its correctness. After successful login, you will get to the home page and can use the app.

WHAT CAN I DO IF I HAVE FORGOTTEN MY PASSWORD?

After starting the LEDVANCE SMART+ app you will see the Register and Login buttons in the middle of the page that appears. Tap on the login button. On the Login page tap to “Forget password?”. On the “forgot password?” page type in your email address and tap the “Get verification code” button. After that you will receive an email containing the verification code, which you have to enter on the "Verification code" page that appears. If the email does not arrive you should check your spam folder. The verification code is only valid for 30 minutes. To enter the verification code, tap on the left of the 6 input fields to display the keyboard. You will now be directed to the "Set password" page where you can set a new password. Then type in the field labelled Password and enter a new password. The password must meet certain conditions, which are listed below the password field.
  • It must contain at least 8 characters

  • It must contain at least 1 digit
  • It must contain at least 1 special character ([#?!@$%^&*'()*+,-./:;<=>\^_`{|}]+)

After successful password change, you will get to the home page and can use the app.
 

HOW TO CHANGE THE FIRMWARE OF BLUETOOTH DEVICES?

A firmware change may be needed, if you want to use your LEDVANCE SMART+ Bluetooth product in a different system like Google Home, Amazon Alexa or Apple HomeKit. The default firmware shall be shown in the user instruction by the indication, that no further firmware change or more steps in the LEDVANCE SMART+ is needed. To change the firmware for your Bluetooth products, there is no need to create an account for the LEDVANCE SMART+ app. You only need to click on “directly connect your Bluetooth devices” and you directly on the page of available systems.  
 
Before clicking on your desired smart home system please make sure that your Bluetooth device is reset. The Bluetooth product is reset, if it blinks briefly after turning it off and on after 3 seconds. By clicking on the desired system, the search process for unpaired Bluetooth devices is started.
 
Found devices can be enabled for the desired smart home system by tapping on the corresponding home system. You can also check for a firmware update of this product here. Note: To add your LEDVANCE SMART+ Bluetooth products to Apple HomeKit it is necessary to have HomeKit Code on the product or a HomeKit badge on the product packaging.
Furthermore, the SMART+ Bluetooth Solar Outdoor products can’t be added to any of these smart home systems and work only with the LEDVANCE SMART+ app.
