PURPOSE OF LOCATION PERMISSION
The permission for location is needed to ensure you the best user experience and to utilise the app functionality. We as LEDVANCE don’t track or analyse your location data.
WHICH SERVICES NEED LOCATION PERMISSION?
In the list below you can find the detailed services, why the location service is needed and what is the background.
a) The location service is needed to get access to your connected WiFi SSID (WiFi network name). This is due the technical limitation that the SMART+ app is not able to read out your SSID. This makes it much easier for you as you don’t need to enter the SSID manually.
b) For all automations, which are based on your location changes (geofencing), it is important to give the app permanent access to phone location. Without giving the permission this feature will not work, as it doesn't have your real location data.
c) At all Android based smartphones the location permission is required for the use of Bluetooth. This is a precondition of the Android system, see also
