HOME MANAGEMENT

As part of the LEDVANCE SMART+ app registration, you'll need to create your first home. This guide explains the steps for both new and existing users to set up and manage homes within the app. Follow these instructions to name your home, add rooms, and modify details as needed for a customized smart home experience. For further information, refer to the relevant sections below.

CREATE A NEW HOME

As a part of the registration process, you need to create your first home during the onboarding. If you have already used the LEDVANCE SMART+ WiFi app, then your account is automatically transferred and if you haven’t set a home name yet, a default name will used. Obviously later you can create several homes for better overview of your installations. Depending on your user level, you find more details about the home creation process below.

a) For new users:
The onboarding process starts as soon as you create your account successfully. Firstly, you need to give your new home a name. At the next step you can add given rooms by clicking on “+” of the right side of them. Additionally, you can create rooms with your own name by entering it in the text field and click on the “+”. Accidentally created rooms can be delete in this section by clicking on the “X” on the right of the room name. This can also be done later in the home details. The home name and the location of the home can also be changed anytime by clicking on the "Show details" section and clicking on the home name or location.

b) For existing users:
As an existing user you should already have a home in your account. To add a new home go to the click on the “Homes” button in the menu on the bottom of the screen. On the top right corner of the “HOMES” screen you will find “+” button. By clicking on it, you will open a dropdown menu with two options. Click on “Add new home” and the configuration screen will open.
Here you can enter a name for your new home, set a location and add rooms.
 
To enter the name for your new home click on the text box with “Name”. For creation of new home only a name is mandatory. All other information like location and rooms are optional. You can click on the check on the top right to save the data and new home will be created. To set the location you can click on “Open map”. You can either set the location manually on the map or you can use your GPS location for your new home.
You can add the pre-defined rooms by clicking on the “+” of the right side of them. You can also create rooms with your own name by entering the name in the text field and clicking on the “+” button. Accidentally created rooms can be deleted by clicking on the “X” on the right of the room name. This can also be done later in the home details.

MODIFY YOUR HOME

If you want to change the home name, location or the rooms you can do this at any time. To enter the modification screen you need to go to the “Homes” menu by clicking on the “Homes” button on bottom menu of the screen. Now you can click on the home you want to modify. On this screen, you can see your devices, groups and routines on first view.
By clicking on “Show details” on the right side, you can enter the “Home details” page. In this menu you can modify the names, location, and rooms along with the users of your home. 
 
a) Modify Home name:
To change the name of your home, click on text field of the existing name and modify it. By clicking on the “X” in the field box the whole name will erased, and you can enter a new home name. The changes will be applied by clicking on the check on the top right. In case you want to keep the previous name you can go back by clicking on the back button at the top left of the screen. If changes are made a Pop-up will appear and you need to confirm if you want to discard your changes.
 
b) Modify Home Location:
Home location helps you to set and use different “location and weather” based automations, as well as WIFI SSID (WIFI Name) details. To change the location of your home, click on “Open map”. You either can set the new location manually on the map or you can use your GPS location for your new home. In case you want to keep the previous location, you can go back by clicking on the “<” at top left of the screen. If changes are made, a Pop-up will appear, and you need to confirm if you want to discard your changes.
 
c) Room management:
To add more rooms to your home you can add given rooms by clicking on the “+” of the right side of them. You can also create rooms with your own name by entering it in the text field and click on “+”. Accidentally created rooms can be deleted in this section by clicking on the “X” on the right of the room name.

For rooms, which you added and saved in a previous step, you can enter the manage the room screen by clicking on the “>” button. In this screen, you can rename the room. You can see the devices, which are assigned to that room, unassigned devices, and devices, which are assigned to other rooms. You can delete devices, which are assigned to that room by clicking on the “X” on right side of the device. Moreover, you can also add unassigned devices or already assigned devices to other rooms to this room. But it is only possible to add one device to one room. Therefore, the device will be removed from the previous assigned room.
 
At the bottom of the screen, you can also delete the whole room. All assigned devices to this room will become unassigned.

d) Changing order of rooms

By clicking on “Show details” on the right side, you can enter the “Home details” page. You can change the order of rooms by long pressing and moving the respective room.

e) Delete home:
To delete your home, you need to scroll down to the end of the screen. At the bottom you can find the button “Delete home”. It is important to note that all your configuration will be lost, and all your devices will be factory reset, once you delete a Home.  For the factory reset, LEDVANCE SMART+ WiFi and SMART+ Matter devices need to have access to the internet and LEDVANCE SMART+ Bluetooth devices need to be in proximity of your connected smartphone. The LEDVANCE SMART+ Bluetooth devices might need a manual reset here as well. The other users of your home will be informed by the deletion of the home and their data will be erased as well.
