Garching, Germany, July 16, 2025 – LEDVANCE, one of the world’s leading general lighting companies, has received the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certification in Europe, underlining its commitment to responsible sourcing and sustainable packaging. The certification ensures that the materials used in LEDVANCE’s products and packaging are sourced from responsibly managed forests that deliver environmental, social, and economic benefits.
The FSC label (FSC license code (FSC-C211284)) will start to appear on eligible LEDVANCE product packaging across Europe in the upcoming months. With this milestone, LEDVANCE strengthens its ability to provide retailers and consumers with trusted, eco-conscious solutions that align with growing environmental expectations.

FSC is a global, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of responsible forest management worldwide. Globally, over 200 million hectares of forest are certified under FSC management standards.1 Studies show that responsibly managed forests serve as powerful carbon sinks, critical to combating climate change. LEDVANCE’s achievement of FSC certification also contributes to global sustainability goals, including the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal “Responsible Consumption and Production2.
