NorSea Polarbase with activities in the Barents sea have achieved excellent lighting
NorSea Polarbase relies on excellent lighting, especially during the Polar nights from October till the end of January, where there is complete darkness 24/7 and no sunshine at all. The harsh weather conditions require lighting products which do not give in but will continue illuminating – regardless of the weather conditions.
During Eliaden exhibition in Oslo in 2022, representatives from NorSea Polarbase stopped by LEDVANCE stand and talked to our sales team. They had the opportunity to closely examine our various luminaires Until recently, NorSea Polarbase had been using 1000W discharge lamps in their light masts and had started replacing them with LED products. However, there were quite a few problems regarding long response time/complaint time when the luminaires were not functioning as they should. In 2021, the base began installingLED luminaires from another supplier which were satisfactory, but came with relatively high price and long delivery time.
In consultation with a local installer and our District Manager for North Norway, Remi Romsdal, NorSea Polarbase was proposed a more affordable solution that would suit their needs. Moreover, the luminaires were readily available in stock. The base had previously used a number of indoor industrial luminaires that they were satisfied with. The advantage of LEDVANCE luminaires was their price, delivery time and the friendly and competent contact personnel at LEDVANCE who were always willing to advise NorSea Polarbase.
„The advantage of your luminaires is price and delivery time as well as pleasant and serious contact persons at LEDVANCE. Also, the 3D lighting calculations from Chris Madsen at LEDVANCE really helped us get an idea of how the lighting would turn out.” Ørjan Olsen, Maintenance Coordinator Property, NorSea Polarbase, Rypefjord, Norway.
The lights have been installed and are working properly. NorSea Polarbase works flawlessly and without any incidents. The new Floodlights not only consume significantly less electricity but also have a longer lifespan and maintain a consistent luminous flux.
