LEDVANCE SMART+ WIFI LED lights and lamps are now compatible with the
Busch-free@home® system
What was a gimmick for trendsetters a few years ago is increasingly becoming the standard in modern living - smart lighting. And what could be more convenient than combining it with the smart home system. This is now possible because LEDVANCE SMART+ WIFI products are compatible with Busch-free@home®. The integration of the smart products from LEDVANCE, one of the world's leading suppliers in general lighting, now enables intuitive control via wall switches and control panels from Busch-Jaeger, the innovative market leader for electrical installation technology and building automation.
Simple integration into the system
The integration into Busch-free@home® is simple: The SMART+ WIFI lamps and luminaires are first connected to the in-house router via the LEDVANCE App. After logging into the myBUSCH-JAEGER portal, the lamps and lights are automatically available for configuration in the Busch-free@home® system (software version 3.0 or higher). Since the products are now part of the smart home system, no additional gateways are required.
Setting lighting accents with pinpoint accuracy, creating an atmospheric lighting ambience, increasing security - various functions can be set for smart lighting control. For example, automated switching is possible, in which a flush-mounted motion detector switches on the light when movement is detected. Or a party scene can be set up with predefined light, fixed shutter position, playing music and automatically opening door. Deco and floor lamps can be conveniently operated from the light switch or a panel despite changing location. Likewise, all light and home functions can be easily controlled with an app, the Busch-free@home Next app.
Available from electrical wholesalers and DIY stores
The big advantage for the electrical installer: The LEDVANCE SMART+ WIFI products are, like Busch-free@home®, available through electrical wholesalers. Thus, for example, the luminaires and lamps can be taken into account directly when planning the Smart Home system. The LEDVANCE range, which can be controlled via WLAN, includes LED lamps and luminaires for indoor and outdoor use. LED strips and intermediate plugs are also available. The latter can be coupled with the system via the router connection just as the other lamps.
End customers can purchase LEDVANCE products from DIY stores or online suppliers and simply integrate them into the smart home system. This provides them with another module for expanding their Busch-free@home® system.
Busch-Jaeger is the only partner outside of Denmark to gain access to the API programming interface. Both partners will work together on future Matter-based integrations. Matter is a new standard that is compatible across manufacturers.
