LEDVANCE achieved sustainable, energy-saving office lighting with the use of modern LED lights and an automatic adjustment to daylight and room usage through VIVARES Zigbee.

THE CHALLENGE

Schreiner Group GmbH sought an energy-efficient lighting system for its corporate headquarters in Oberschleißheim. In response to the initial request for 240 switchable LED panels, LEDVANCE proposed combining the transition to LED technology with the installation of the VIVARES Zigbee lighting management system.

THE SOLUTION

Schreiner Group GmbH chose to install the VIVARES Zigbee lighting management system due to its compatibility with the architectural conditions and technological capabilities. VIVARES Zigbee, a wireless system, seamlessly integrates into existing buildings and can communicate with up to 200 Zigbee-enabled devices through the VIVARES Zigbee controller. The system was easily integrated into the existing wiring and successfully put into operation in the rooms of Schreiner Group.

THE BENEFITS

The wireless VIVARES Zigbee system is ideal for lighting modernization in existing buildings, particularly in cases where wiring is challenging. It allows for flexible adjustments to accommodate changes in room layout and provides improved light quality with even illumination. Energy consumption is reduced by up to 80% through daylight adaptation and automatic shut-off when not in use. With a lifespan of over 30 years, the system minimizes long-term costs and maintenance efforts. Additionally, the Schreiner Group benefits from a 15% subsidy from the BEG (German Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control) for eligible products, including the lighting management system.

After consulting with LEDVANCE, the Schreiner Group has decided to incorporate both LED technology and the VIVARES Zigbee lighting management system into the lighting modernization of their corporate headquarters in Oberschleißheim. VIVARES Zigbee allows for easy installation and convenient adjustments through an app. When combined with LED panel lights, it provides a homogeneous light quality that is perfectly tailored to different workstations. This results in energy savings of up to 80%.
